Winter 2027 Class Schedule

My "Open Weaves" were designed initially for my students who had started a basket in a previous class and needed help finishing it. It has transformed to a class for everyone, those who want to finish a basket, to those who want to learn to weave a basket or get back into weaving baskets.

For the new students I have them look at my website, in the "Traditional Section," to see if there is a basket they want to make. After talking with them, I assess if they would be able it weave it in that day. If not, I will suggest another basket. I also have to be sure I have the supplies for the baskets requested.

The cost is $30 for the day plus the kit cost. I also have to make sure I have all the materials needed for the particular baskets people want to weave. If not, then I have to assess if I have enough time to order the materials and received them in time for the class.

I limit the class size to 6, so first come first served! The class time is 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. There will be time for lunch. You will want to bring your lunch. Also, other materials/tools you might want to bring is pencil, apron, stout scissor, plastic dishpan for water, and tape measure. I do have some spray bottles and a few plastic dishpans for water.
